Management Profile
Dr Grant Coren gained a degree in Genetics and a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology within Cancer Research. He spent 7 years in Oncology academic, applied and clinical research prior to joining the pharmaceutical search industry in 1991.
Having established his own company in 1992, Pharma-Search Ltd, he merged this into a large American Human Resource consultancy and established their European operation before taking on a Global Practice Leader role and becoming an Executive Committee member.
Grant was a director at Astralis from August 2001; he established a Pharmaceutical and Healthcare practice for the company and headed the Life Sciences practice. Over the last 20 years Grant has used his hands-on experience as a clinical research scientist and extensive technical knowledge within drug discovery and development to develop an extensive network and understanding of the specialist industries in which he operates, on a global basis.
In 2011, Grant decided to re-establish Pharma-Search Ltd in order to increase the sector focus within his business, enhance the technical capability and experience, and to ensure consummate customer service and focus.
His clients include blue-chip pharmaceutical companies, emerging BioPharmaceutical companies, pharmaceutical management consultancies, CROs, SMOs and biotechnology companies. Specialist areas include Research & Development, Clinical Research, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, Biometrics, Sales and Marketing, Business Development, IT, Supply Chain, Project Management, Process Improvement, eBusiness and “New Technology”.
Grant is married to Sarah, with three children and lives in Felden, Hertfordshire. Most of his spare time is spent chasing after his youngest daughter Pira and providing food, money, lifts and “parental guidance” to his teenagers Jake and Carly. Any available time left is spent pretending he can play tennis, walking the dogs to escape the family and indulging his long standing (40+ years) and irrational love of Chelsea and enjoying recent successes to help take away the pain of the first 30 years!
