Director Cognition Disorders
Based in the headquarters of a global biopharmaceutical company, you will play a key role within the Neuroscience Discovery Medicine Group. This is a newly created position as the company continues their significant investment and commitment to Neuroscience and Cognition Disorders, within breakthrough drug discovery research and development.
The Director Cognition Disorders will be responsible for providing early medical-scientific support and direction to discovery research.
You will be responsible for the early clinical development strategy, up to and including Clinical Proof of Concept within Cognition Disorder discover, research and development. You will provide expert input into the identification of surrogate markers, bio-markers or endpoints to be used in clinical trials.
You will work in close alignment with:
- Clinical Sub-teams
- Translational Medicine Scientists
- Clinical Pharmacology Groups
- Clinical Modelling & Simulation Groups
- Neuroscience Cognition Disorders Discovery Research Team
Reporting to the Vice President and Head Neuroscience Discovery Medicine you will ideally have a strong background in Neurology, possibly with experience within Psychiatry.
You will have excellent clinical development understanding and expertise, coupled to a strong academic, scientific and medical background. This role is ideally suited if you have a high level of passion and enthusiasm for medical and scientific research and a desire to make a genuine difference within Cognition Disorder research, development and understanding.
You will have a high level of autonomy and responsibility within a dynamic and scientifically talented team, ideally bringing an excellent track record in academic and applied / commercial research into these key disease areas, bringing vision, ambition and creativity.
